How do I resolve the Financial Commitments error message when there are no operating lease postings?

This error message appears due to postings in certain nominal ledger codes. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check for Valid Operating Lease Postings

1. If there are valid operating lease postings, click on the error message and enter the required details.
2. If there are no valid operating lease postings, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Search for Relevant Nominal Reporting Groups

1. Go to Nominal Ledger > Nominal Reporting Groups.
2. Search for the keyword Lse.
3. Scroll down the page to find the following nominal reporting groups:
   • MVLseRent
   • OffEquipsLseRent
   • PlantMachineryLseRent
     

Step 3: Remove Invalid Postings

1. To remove the error message, ensure there are no postings for the current or comparative year in any of the nominal codes within these groups.
2. For example, in the MVLseRent group, if you see a posting in nominal code 163, click the drop-down arrow beside this group to open the details.
3. If you have postings here, either remove them or move them to a different nominal code.
   

Note: Sometimes, users may rename descriptions of these codes without realising it doesn’t change how the code functions within the accounts. Once the invalid posting is removed or moved, the error message should no longer appear.
