Why is the heading missing from the Tangible Assets note?
The heading may be missing if a posting has been made to a user-defined asset group, but the asset heading has not been defined in the Compliance Database.
Steps to Resolve the Issue
- Go to the Trial Balance screen.
- Check for postings to a user-defined asset code (e.g., code 676). These codes may have been renamed but will appear in bold and italics.
- To view the original reporting description, tick the box on the top right.
- To classify the asset heading, go to Compliance Database > Intangible and Tangible Fixed Assets > Tangible Assets.
- Enter the asset heading in the 1st and 2nd Line Description boxes.
Final Step
After entering the asset heading, refresh the accounts, and the heading should now appear in the note.
Note: The same process applies for user-defined intangible assets.
