Why am I receiving a validation error when trying to upload the iXBRL file?
The validation error occurs because the Legal Form of the Entity is not selected in the Compliance Database.
Step 1: Select the Legal Form of the Entity
- Navigate to the Compliance Database.
- Click on Client Details > Key Information.
- On the right-hand side, select the Legal Form of Entity from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Unlock Accounts (if dropdown is greyed out)
If the Legal Form of Entity dropdown menu is greyed out:
- Go to Produce Accounts > Status.
- Set the Status for the last three rows to Not Started.
- Once the accounts are unlocked, a green Refresh button will appear at the top left of the screen.
Step 3: Refresh Accounts
After selecting the Legal Form of Entity, click the Refresh button to apply the changes.
Step 4: Generate New iXBRL File
Once the accounts are refreshed, generate a new iXBRL file and upload it.
