How can I remove the “Departure from Companies Act 2014 Presentation” note from the Financial Statements?
If you're seeing the “Departure from Companies Act 2014 Presentation” note in the financial statements and it hasn’t been removed by unticking the relevant Disclosure option in Compliance, it’s likely due to a compliance setting related to Not-For-Profit entities.
Reason for the Note Appearing
This note is automatically included if the compliance setting:
“Not-For-Profit Company having Income and Expenditure Account”
is selected in the Compliance Database.
This setting enables specific exemptions under the Companies Act 2014, which triggers the inclusion of the departure note.
To Remove the Note:
- Navigate to Compliance Database > Client Details > Disclosure.
- Locate the “Not-For-Profit Company having Income and Expenditure Account” checkbox.
- Deselect this option if the entity no longer requires the associated exemptions.
- Refresh the accounts to update the Financial Statements.
Note:
If the company is a Not-For-Profit entity and wishes to continue using these exemptions, the departure note must remain to comply with the Companies Act.
If you’ve deselected the Not-For-Profit option and the note still appears, double-check other Companies Act-related settings. If the issue persists, please contact Support for further assistance.
