Why is there a balance showing in Nominal 381 with no postings, and why are some nominal codes showing in red on the Trial Balance?

This issue usually occurs because some nominal codes have not been properly converted or recognised by the system. To resolve this:

1. Open the Nominal Ledger.
2. Go to the Trial Balance and tick the option ‘Show Unconverted Codes’.
3. Any nominal codes the system does not recognise will appear highlighted in red.
4. Hover over each red nominal code and click the dropdown menu on the right side.
5. Select Open, then assign a Copy from Code to tell the system how to treat that nominal.
6. Click Save to confirm your changes.

After completing these steps, the nominal codes will move to the main Trial Balance view, and the issue with unconverted nominal codes will be fixed. Your balances will then display correctly alongside their postings.
