How can I change the information displayed on the cover page of the financial statements in Bright Accounts Production?
It is not possible to manually edit or insert user-defined information directly into the cover page of the financial statements in Bright Accounts Production.
How it works:
The cover page content is auto-generated based on the compliance selections made within the Compliance Database, specifically under:
- Legislation
- Compliance
- Disclosure
These settings dynamically determine the layout, headings, and wording shown on the cover page. For example:
- Choosing Unaudited Financial Statements vs. Management Accounts
- Selecting a Sole Trader structure will trigger the T/A (Trading As) format
- Charity or IFRS layouts will update the terminology accordingly
To adjust cover page content:
- Go to: Compliance > Client Details > Compliance Database
- Review and update relevant sections:
- Legislation: Entity type, audit status, governing law
- Disclosure: Company type, reporting regime
- Compliance: Basis of preparation, voluntary audit, etc.
- Reproduce the accounts after making changes.
Note: There is no template editor or manual override for the cover page in Bright AP. If something looks incorrect, it’s nearly always due to an incorrect selection or omission in the Compliance setup.
