To enter or change the Business or Registered Name for a client:
- Go to Compliance from the main menu.
- Select Client Details.
- Click on the Names tab.
- Click Manage Names on the right side of the screen.
- Choose either Business Name or Registered Name from the list.
You’ll then be able to enter or edit the following fields:
- Name
- Effective From: [This date field indicates when the business or registered name becomes applicable, such as the date of a change.]
- Effective To: [This date field signifies when the business or registered name ceases to be applicable, such as the date of a change.]
If you notice that the Company's Trade Name is appearing in accounts instead of the actual Company Name, it is important to ensure that the business name is entered correctly in client details. Navigate to compliance > client details > names and verify the entry for the business name to make sure it reflects the desired company name
This ensures your client’s name details are accurate and up-to-date for compliance and reporting purposes.
