We’ve introduced a systematic mapping framework that links IRIS nominal codes directly to BrightAccountsProduction nominal codes within the Trial Balance Import process.
This enhancement simplifies migrations from IRIS software and reduces manual effort when setting up or importing data into BrightAccountsProduction.
Key Benefits
Smoother migrations from IRIS software → Existing IRIS nominal codes are automatically recognised and matched to the correct Bright nominal codes.
Improved accuracy → Reduces the risk of posting errors or mismatched codes during Trial Balance imports.
Less manual mapping required → Significantly decreases time spent setting up nominal codes manually.
Integrated IRIS mapping templates → Mapping templates are now built into the Trial Balance Import screen, allowing for quicker and more reliable configuration.
Supported Entity Types
This functionality has been introduced across multiple entity types:
Limited Companies
Charities
LLPs
Sole Traders
Farmers
How to Use IRIS Nominal Mapping
Step 1 — Access the Trial Balance Import
Navigate to Compliance Database → Trial Balance → Import Trial Balance.
Select the entity you are working on (Company, Charity, LLP, etc.).
Step 2 — Select the IRIS Mapping Template
In the Import Options screen, choose the IRIS Mapping Template from the available list.
BrightAccountsProduction will automatically match your IRIS nominal codes with the correct Bright nominal codes.
Step 3 — Review and Confirm Mappings
You will be presented with a mapping summary screen where you can review matched codes.
Any codes that could not be automatically matched will be highlighted for manual selection.
Once satisfied, click Confirm Mapping to finalise the setup.
Step 4 — Import the Trial Balance
After mapping is complete, continue with the normal Trial Balance import process.
The mapped codes will now flow directly into your BrightAccountsProduction entity setup.
