If a client is audit exempt, Bright Accounts Production can be configured so that the audit report is not included in the produced financial statements.
The audit exemption setting is held in the Compliance Database.
Mark the company as audit exempt
- Open the client and go to the Compliance Database.
- Select Client Details > Key Information.
- Locate the audit exemption setting.
- Select the Audit Exempt checkbox
- Save your changes.
- Refresh or regenerate the accounts so that the financial statements are rebuilt.
Once the client is correctly marked as audit exempt, the audit report should no longer be included in the financial statements.
The relevant audit exemption wording should also appear on the balance sheet where applicable.
If the audit report is still showing
If the audit report continues to appear after marking the client as audit exempt:
- Make sure the changes were saved.
- Refresh or regenerate the accounts.
- Check that you are viewing the correct dataset and financial year.
- Open the Auditor's / Accountant's Report section of the Compliance Database.
- Check whether an auditor's report has been explicitly enabled there.
- If appropriate, disable the auditor's report setting and regenerate the accounts.
