Updates to Staff Permissions Management
Improved staff permissions functionality for better control and visibility across your practice. New features include default permissions for new staff, clearer distinction between Accounts Production (AP) and BrightBooks permissions, and the ability to handle non-bookkeeping and bookkeeping businesses separately. These enhancements help ensure consistency, reduce errors, and simplify user management.

- Automatic updates applied to non-bookkeeping businesses
- Optional application of permissions to bookkeeping businesses
- “Indeterminate” state for easy visibility of varying permissions across businesses
How to Use:
- Navigate to Staff → Staff Permissions
- Select a staff member and review default permissions
- Adjust permissions as needed and click Save
- Choose whether to apply changes to bookkeeping businesses

Phase 2 of the FRS 102 Revenue & Lease Accounting module introduces the option to display Right-of-Use Assets separately on the Balance Sheet, along with supporting notes and automatic disclosure throughout your accounts. This aligns with FRC updates and provides more transparent reporting for leases.
