New Feature
FRS 102 Amendments: Lease Accounting and Revenue Recognition
BrightAccountsProduction now implements the FRC 2025 amendments to FRS 102, effective for accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026. The new lease accounting model aligns with IFRS 16 and requires lessees to recognise all leases on the balance sheet, except for short-term and low-value leases. Financial statements now include dedicated GL nominals for right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, lease depreciation expenses, lease interest expenses, and a new five-step revenue recognition model. Balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow templates have been updated to reflect these changes. UK & Ireland

New Feature
Other Long-Term Creditors for Charity Accounts
Charity accounts now include a dedicated nominal code for "other long-term creditors" — liabilities over one year that are neither loans nor provisions. This new category allows for accurate disclosure of long-term grants payable, pension-related creditors, and similar items without forcing incorrect consolidation into loan or provision codes. LLP entity terminology corrected
On the accounts page for LLP entities, terminology has been updated to correctly display "Limited Liability Partnership" instead of "Company." The basis of preparation notes and balance sheet disclosures now reflect the correct entity type.

Isle of Man: Directors' Responsibilities Statement updated
Isle of Man company accounts now use correct legislative references. The Directors' Responsibilities Statement wording aligns with the Isle of Man Companies Act 1931, and the Auditor text references section 110 (not section 485) under the 1931 Act.

Consolidated accounts: share capital elimination fixed
Group and consolidated accounts now consolidate share capital on-the-fly without physical data changes. Share capital is eliminated correctly in group consolidation, resolving errors that appeared in group accounts but not in parent accounts.
